Fare Integration Program Stretches Your Money!

To make transit more convenient and inexpensive, Burlington Transit has an arrangement with GO Transit to allow you to transfer to or from Burlington Transit at a reduced rate. To take advantage of the Fare Integration Program, simply show the bus driver your valid GO pass or ticket when you board the bus and put in the difference into the farebox (or for added convenience, you may purchase a ComboCard at the Bus Terminal - refer to the ComboCard section for further details).

Fare Integration allows you to go to or from Hamilton and Oakville on HSR and Oakville Transit FREE. Just pay the regular fare on the first bus of your trip, ask the driver for a transfer slip and present your transfer to the driver when you change buses.

Inter-Lined Routes

On some buses "Inter-Lining" occurs where a route ends and another route begins. This system is designed to reduce transfers on routes which are paired with each other. At the end of the route, the bus changes its sign and serves the next route in the loop. Routes 1 & 10, 2 & 3, and 4 & 5 are paired this way. For example, Routes 2 & 3 are interlined at the Downtown Terminal. When a route 2 bus arrives, it changes to route 3 so that the people do not have to get off the bus to transfer.

Burlington Transit does not operate on statutory holidays.
